Preview for tomorrow - T. wore her costume in the school parade. I wasn't able to watch it as C. was banned from school due to mild fever (that never amounted to anything else) yesterday. *sigh*. T. didn't seem to mind and enjoyed herself. Costume came home with marker on the bottom and a little on the front so a good time was had...

My good friend Tracey sent these adorable teddy bears to the girls for Halloween!~ how sweet was that? They were so thrilled, especially when C. got the news that her 100 degree temp means she can't go to school tomorrow and therefore can't participate in the holiday festivities. Boo!

Hardly seems fair that we've been hit again since we had our fair share in September! I was up with T. half of the night with a fever and then down for most of the day with my own cough and a migraine. Yippee!

Unusually bright and warm October day today! We were off to a birthday party and I snapped a quick photo. Little TOO bright for her but cute!

Someone came home from school today and has a fever and the start of a lousy cold. She was pretty much begging to go to bed tonight. Poor little angel!

Yesterday, I just couldn't do it. Figured no one needed another photo of shoes, or the cat or whatever so tonight I just took some simple portraits - two to make up for yesterday. I then ran a great B&W action against them to give them some more drama.

New addition to the bedtime routine. C. likes to take her new booklight and read for an hour before bed. Its really cute, she's already burned this light out and we're working on a new one. Her reading has really taken a huge jump this fall and I love to listen to her sounding out words. She is a "sight" reader, which totally impresses me at this age - she has already mastered so much vocabulary!

Day 284

I never know what I'll find in my house and somehow, these cute little acorns have taken up residence on top of my china cabinet. I have no idea where the girls found these, but they are so stinkin cute. I'm used to finding leaves "flowers" and other assorted nature offerings from my youngest, usually in the washing machine from her pockets, but these are so so darn cute!

Super model - check out this super cute outfit that C. found at our favorite haunt (the one with the big Bullseye!) I'll never get tired of dressing this kiddo!

The kids had a day off today with Dad and they had a lot of fun making art, going to the park, making cookies and hanging out.

If you had told me we would have any toy with "Karate-Chopping Action" in our home only a year ago I would have wistfully told you you were dreaming...Just a year later and we are inundated with the magic that is Buzz Lightyear including the Karate-Chop action figure! I have no idea how long this will last, but man, I'm enjoying ever minute. =)

Okay - no clue why I can't get yesterday's photo saved correctly, but tonights did. C. is staying up late with me, watching a "Twitches" marathon. We had a fun time shopping together while Dad and T. went to see the Toy Story double feature in 3d.

Continuing my "blog of my kids sleeping" trend - here's the big girl sleeping, despite her crazy "photo-a-day-mother" with the bright external flash. No clue how to get the photo appropriately sized so I'll have to look at it tomorrow.

*sigh* After many years of great eyesight, I was finally forced to realize that things were not as sharp as they once were. These are my new friends. Anyone have a good tip to keeping them clean? Feels like I have to clean them once an hour.

Look at this picture! Isn't that the cutest frog you've ever seen? I sure think it is!! She wanted to draw a bow on it to show that it was a girl, explaining that frogs need to hold their bows on with sticky stuff but I convinced her that it was perfect just the way it is!

The cats are thrilled with the trade and are busy figuring out how to play with their new DS's. The kids, well, I'm not sure but maybe I need to up their vitamins because despite a housefull of brand new toys (thanks to T's recent bday party) I came home to find them running around with these.

We went to a birthday party at a really great farm/pumpkin patch, about an hour away from our home. Pony rides, hay ride, petting zoo and pumpkin party favors. I bought this silly hat in their gift shop and T. was patient enough to model it. =)

I've been single mom for a couple of days so I honestly forgot to take a photo yesterday. To make up for it - here are two today. Today is the Moon Festival so we enjoyed moon cakes from my friend Lu. We also made sure to go out and enjoy the full moon and think of those that we cannot be with in person today that are thinking of us as well.

Okay, another "kids getting ready for bed shot". I thought this one was funny though because the kids are out of jammies. Well, not technically, I have washed them but they aren't in their dressers and the kids would rather wear daytime clothing and call them jammies. I don't get it but they were thrilled. Crazy!
