Day 269

Today was school photo day. Unfortunately, the teachers forgot to have the girls do a sibling pose so I figured I'd grab one in the yard before dinner. They looked so cute in their matching dresses!

Day 268

Well, we opened about half of the presents from the party yesterday. The front of our house looks like someone pillaged a Toys R Us and a Hallmark store simultaneously. She really got into handing the cards off to find out who gave her the next big treasure - we had to beg off the other half of the loot!

Day 267

Today we had an OUTSTANDING birthday party -for T. (and even me!!) We were surrounded by about 100 plus of our friends, family and just the best people ever! It was super hot, but way more fun than I could have hoped. Just a perfect event!!

Newly aquired skill - she can wrap her own towell. I love that at 4 years of age, every little thing is a big deal. =)

Grandma came to visit today and is quickly getting caught up in the latest Phineaus & Ferb news with her smallest grandchild. =)

Day 264

Another happening night at the house - Mabel stays up until I'm ready to go to sleep, begging me to go because she and her sister get treats when I go to sleep. Tonight, she caught my attention by finding a wayward jelly bean and torturing it extensively while racing it across the kitchen floor over and over. Pretty funny. Glad I'm no longer spending money on high priced kitty toys - just leaving spare candy on the floor. =)

Day 263

Ah...this made me SO happy today - nothing like GREAT new music to make my two hours of commute better!

Day 262

Okay so this is fast becoming "365 days of my kids going to sleep" and its becoming a drag. I have to admit. I've shot all of the "cool" weird things in my house and day to day, there's just not that much that's exciting to capture so yesterday - nothing. Sorry. I love this project but I feel like I'm in the 7th inning stretch without the stretch part. =( So here, is another photo, of my kid, going to sleep. Blah.

Day 260 - *sigh*

Okay - so I had big laptop issues yesterday that have mysteriously disappeared, after a day fiddling with Vista and patiently waiting for my laptop to fix itself and I missed yesterday as a consequence. Two photos today instead...I painted the girls' nails today - it was fun (in theory) and I ended up with quite a bit of random nail polish on my person, but they were happy!

Three new bottles for C's cousin and one for us - the girls were positively delighted shopping the beauty aisle at Target tongith!

A lot of Halloween discussions going on our house...how many days? What month does it happen in? Do we have all of our costume parts yet? (not quite...but, yes, since August...)

So, this is the first time I've done this this year. I didn't take a photo yesterday and just couldn't do another pajama photo (although I may have to do that tonight). I did this early this morning - T. has a chore, she helps me feed the kitties, so here she is waiting to deliver their breakfast.

Its so much fun having a new Reader in our home! Tonight the girls were going through a book about the Chinese New Year - here they are looking at all of the animals of the zodiac, picking out who they are, who they wish they were. So great!

I think I should retitle this blog to 365 photos of my kids in their pj's, since that's all I seem to get anymore. Cute though, huh? The new flash is working out so nicely, really takes the harsh light out.

Home from a sleepover that turned into an all day play date - smiley oldest daughter with wicked-cool blue streaks in her hair - so cute! Missed her though!!

Day 252

Mom and Dad are both under the weather today and so things were sl-ow! The kids did have a blast assembling these cute little aquariums that Dad picked up on a trip to the aquarium a couple months ago. The fish "swim" around and they light up and everything. Quite cute!

Today was the first day of cooking class at school! They get to do it together, every Wednesday and they were so excited to get all of their cooking goodies including a recipe box and measuring cups. They wore these aprons (not the hats) during dinner tonight, they liked them so much!

We went next door for an awesomely great bbq dinner and the girls had so much fun that they decided to have a sleep over tonight. Here they are discussing the fine points of the latest Barbie movie.

One of our DS girls - they have these adorable little "bowling ball" bags for their supplies. C. was heading out for a roadtrip today and was packing her entertainment.

Just LOVE the external flash my family gave me for my birthday - the light looks so natural in this shot! So the deal with these jammies is they are the primary culprit in bedtime-delay tactics. T. goes and puts these on. We tell her that they will be too hot, go change, she says no and then inevitably, she has to go change because, she is, well, too hot! She's already changed tonight so her delay will be foiled this evening!

Oh our little friends, how you've served us well this past year of adjustment, but we have all come to the conclusion that the time for your help is over!! Yes, T's "dwa's" are gone now. She's experimenting with thumbsucking, but I'm hopeful that it wont last!

Today was the one year anniversary of T. becoming part of our family!! I took the girls to dinner at Elephant Bar (T's request). I can't believe its been a year already - wow!!
