Celebrated Cheryl's birthday tonight - dinner and a GREAT movie! Seriously, we both loved this one!

T. has a new buddy in her class. She talks about him all the time and can spell and write his name better than her own. He's a really sweet kid. I asked her what kinds of games they play at school and she told me that they mostly play "Super Heroes". I then asked her who she played and she looked at me matter of factly and answered "Robin" because her buddy is Batman. How cool is that? My girl is Robin!

Eric took his Godson to a movie and dinner tonight and they stopped by before going home. The girls are totally over the top for him (heck we all are!) and loved the surprise visit.

Little Miss Attitude - This one chased me all over the kitchen, drawing pictures of our family and a castle, which I tried to photograph, but she keeps getting my camera confused with the video camera and couldn't stop moving enough for me to get the shot. I did get this one though, so all was not lost. =)

This rock has been in every vehicle I have owned for 15 years this week. 15 years ago today, my father passed away. When I left his town with his ashes and my memories, I stopped by his home and picked this rock up out of his yard. When my brand new honda was filled with water after a freak flood - my only concern was that this rock be rescued from the dashboard and not discarded, new car be damned. When my car goes in for any service, I take it with me but otherwise it has its own special compartment in my dashboard. It fits perfectly in my palm and gets me through a lot of boring time in traffic. So, today's photo is the rock.

One of the Jade Lion bookends Eric bought on our first trip to China. They are replicas of the lions that guard the Forbidden City in Beijing - male and female. This is the male, with his paw on a ball. The female has her paw on a cub.
