Day 118

We went out for sushi tonight with Dad and then had ice cream after. C. wanted to dish it out and who doesn't love a good cooperative sister moment?

Day 117

Loved this picture that C. brought home from school. She said she's the one on the bars. Isn't it cute?

Day 116

Look at the flower my little bitty brought me today! We were in the kitchen getting dinner ready and she starts rooting in her pockets to produce the flower she saved for me all day from school! Isn't it cute? (yes, its a leaf). Oh its fun to have a 3 year old in the house again!

Day 115

Four weeks old. I love how they are all cuddled together. Do you see the one on its side/almost back - all comfy with most of the nest to itself? Totally cracked me up! They are starting to stretch their wings and check out the edge of the nest. Totally makes me nervous to watch! They have all of their feather and look like little, rounder versions of their mom and dad. I will miss these little guys!

Day 114

The girls enjoyed the water today - I took these from the second floor window. They took their scuba barbies out for a swim and had a great time!

Day 113

So sorry - no editing today and couldn't get the photo to resize correctly on hubby's browser. I've been in bed all day with a nasty sore throat and bad ear. T. was standing on me, singing me the alphabet for entertainment and I grabbed her little camera for a photo.

Day 112

The Gang's All Here! So, due to unforseeable circumstances, Dory did not come home with us from Disneyland. The first time I went to buy her, a certain someone acted up and didn't so she didn't get her. By the end of the trip, when that certain someone was acting like an angel, they were nowhere to be found. LUCKILY - Aunt Cheryl just went to Disneyland and Dory made her way home. T was SO excited - so so so excited and wanted a photo with her good buddies. Mater is just visiting with the Nemo crew!

Day 111

Spider Hunt - we had a spider incident this week. A little hitchhiker was in the back of my truck after daycare and that fast moving thing went from the floor, up the passenger door, across the window and onto T.'s car seat in like 3 minutes while I was driving. She was scared silly, C (who also does not like spiders) was working up the courage to defend her sister (totally warms my heart) when Mom swung back, smashing the spider to oblivion. Now, that is not my normal response to spiders, but in a moving car, with no opportunity to catch and release, moms gotta do what a moms gotta do. So now, T is obsessed that there are spiders in the car and for some reason wanted to go out and find one, so here they are (they selected the matching shirts today on their own), looking for spiders in front of our house after school.

Day 110

Heading off to school this morning - another warm day so shorts/crops this morning. Aren't they cute?

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Day 109

Heatwave! It has been in the 90s two days in a row - which is pretty early in the year for us. Tonight the girls hit the hot tub (which in the summer is the luke warm mini swimming pool) I love watching the two of them swim around -they are both total water bugs so it was a fun time in the backyard tonight!

108

So, unless there is some other special news, I think Monday will be raven day. Here are the three babies this Monday. I felt bad for them - we are having a really out of season heatwave of almost 100 degrees! I just wanted to spray them with water through the window somehow. They are huge already - almost 1/3 the size of their big parents already!

Day 107

I don't know if you can see, but something extra sparkly happened to both of my children today. I had to choose between using a photo of the lovely new sofa we ordered today or of the newly pierced (yes pierced) ears (with several options there) but in the end - here you go - one of the two beauties showing off their little sparklies!

Day 106

Today we went to the movies to see, well, what do you think we went to see? The Hannah movie. We met up with our really good friends and before the movie we popped into the photo booth. Terrible quality photos but WAY too much fun! Look what $3 can buy! =)

Day 105

Today we had seriously beautiful weather, and we are in for a whole weekend of it! Tonight I picked the girls up and some dinner and we ate it in the park by our house. After, we hit the backyard for some serious bubble action - T. is the queen of bubbles - she just loves them and she's quite good with them - catching and reblowing them over and over. She had made some gorgeous ones and the look on her face as they took off was awesome!

Day 104

They wont be here forever and I am just really enjoying watching these little guys grow. They started to open their eyes and look at me through the glass this week. We had extreme winds and cold and I was more than a little worried as their nest is up on the 4th floor of our building but they are troopers and we have great weather predicted now. Can you see the little face peeking through the nest?

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Day 103

Breakfast with the Babies - cereal and a banana and 10 minutes of no fighting - heaven! Then we were out the door to school and work!

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Day 102

Our art nook. This is a little tiny entrance to the garage off of our kitchen that I rotate the kids' artwork through. I wish I was quicker at it but truthfully, some things I find hard to part with, so they stay there for quite some time!

Monday, April 13, 2009

Day 101

Bad reflection but look at the darling birdies! They have almost tripled in size since they hatched. Unfortunately, as predicted, only 3 have made it to this point. The nest only ever makes it to three and you can't see it in this photo but they already fill the nest. I love how they were all curled up together and you can see their feathers coming in.

Day 100

Happy Easter! T.'s first Easter - and we had so much fun! The bunny left baskets full of goods and also hid eggs around the house for finding. We had another easter egg hunt with our friends later in the day and then a wonderful feast in the evening and a movie with our friends. Grandma was with us in the morning which was a really nice treat!

Saturday, April 11, 2009

Day 99

Birthday party time. I know I have a zip line photo earlier in the year - from the same place, but truly, I love the look on her face as she was enjoying her party today. Happy 6th birthday!!

Friday, April 10, 2009

Day 98

I had hoped for something more colorful but here are the kiddos coloring eggs for Easter. Grandma ran the show this year and they all had a really fun time. =)

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Day 97

C. with one of her birthday presents - yes, its a Snuggie. Complete with free book light. =)

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Day 96

Grandma made the cutest cake for C.'s birthday. We didn't end up eating it yesterday and saved it to extend the celebrating. Here they are with the cute cake (sorry - the cake didn't get a lot of focus, the people were too darn cute!). Trust me when I tell you the cake itself was darling!

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Day 95

Happy 6th Birthday, C.! This was in her classroom - the kindergartners baked her cake today so I went in to take photos when they were mixing it and then again later when they iced it and ate it! So much fun!!

Monday, April 6, 2009

Day 94

Breaking news - mother hits home run with $5 at Dollar Tree....don't ask me why but my kids love these crazy frogs. They call them their "Squishies". The original Squishy lost a leg so I bought a second one (tomorrow is C's bday, so figured why not?). I brought two more home and they joined broken Squishy. Throw in two Carnival masks and I swear, I was Mother of the Year tonight! Thanks Dollar Tree!

Sunday, April 5, 2009

Day 93

Not quite summer, but watching the kids eat watermelon in the backyard starts to make me think of sunshine and fireworks. *sigh* Not too many more months!

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Day 92

I spent most of the day running party errands with C. - her 6th birthday is next week so we had to order a birthday cake, find party favors, plates, etc. This evening, her dad took her to a movie so T. and I were on our own for entertainment. Both of the kids LOVE occasional visits to Starbucks so we trooped over for a little cocoa and some hanging out on their comfy sofas. I don't get the attraction, but she was thrilled.

Friday, April 3, 2009

Day 91

C. sometimes gets up before everyone else and she's great about finding something to occupy her time. She was playing so sweetly with one of her dolls, singing songs to it and playing with its hair. I just love this sweet little girl!

Day 90

Okay, can you tell how much I'm enjoying this nest? Its literally right outside my window at floor level so I can look over from my desk at any time and see what's new. And today - what was new was baby number 4! The little beak straight up in the photo. Baby 1 is huge compared to the rest of the nest - weird how a couple of hours/2 days difference gives it such a big leap already. One egg left - not sure if it will hatch but we are up to four now.

Day 89

Okay, I'll admit it. 10pm and no photo. The birds didn't cooperate today and I was out late shopping so in a pinch, who is at my heals (or at this moment snoozing not a foot away from me?) my trusty dog, um I mean cat, Mabel. So here she is, in her teddy bear glory.
